Bhutan often revered as the “Land of the Thunder Dragon” or ‘Druk Yul’, is still regarded as one of the last “Shangri-La’s” in the Himalayan region because of its remoteness, its spectacular mountain terrain, varied flora and fauna and its unique ancient Buddhist monasteries. It is in the relatively unexplored pockets of Asia, which allows only a limited number of discerning travelers in order to preserve its fragile environment and culture in its magical purity.
How To Reach:
Flight: The nearest airport is Bagdogra (IXB) which is around 162 KMs from Bhutan Border.
Train: The nearest railway station is Hasimara (HSA) which is well connected with various trains Kolkata. Hasimara is around 16 KMs from Bhutan Border. The single best train from Sealdah (SDAH) is 13149 Kanchankanya Express. Else, New Jalpaiguri (NJP) is well connected with various cities and is around 152 KMs from Bhutan Border. New Jalpaiguri (NJP) is well connected with various cities. From Sealdah (SDAH), you can take overnight trains such as 12343 Darjeeling Mail, 12377 Padatik Express etc.
Road: The bordering town Jaigaon is well connected by Bus from various cities such as Siliguri, Kolkata etc.
Pickup From Bagdogra : Day 1 : 03:00 PM
Drop at Bagdogra : Day 8 : 10:00 AM
Participants are expected to book their flights as per the above pickup and drop timings. Travel Trikon will not be responsible for delayed arrivals and early departures. In such cases, participants need to borne the cost for pickup and drop separately.
